Conclusions
Recommendations for the design of social software meant to seed real world relationships:
  1. Make the incentive to meet simple and clear.

  2. Build event-centric components into the software.

  3. Don't forbid what you can't prevent.

  4. Create a transactive social memory.

  5. Make successful meetings visible within the system.

  6. Facilitate network traversal and trawling.

  7. Beware the Goldilocks group size problem.

  8. Expect the system to evolve. Let it.
